More than 40 management staff from the various departments throughout the Mick George business were present as Colin Calderwood, manager of Cambridge United FC gave a special presentation on the art of delivering effective management techniques.
Colin has significant leadership qualities given his extensive experience at the top level, both playing and managing.
Having represented Scotland at international level and Tottenham Hotspurs during his playing days, before moving on to coaching and managerial positions at Brighton and Hove Albion, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and now Cambridge United FC, most notably, Colin gave guidance on how he goes about getting the best out of his teams.
Drawing on many past experiences, Colin touched upon the art of learning, development and motivation, among other common aspects of his managerial traits.
A question and answer session followed, where Mick George staff were able to delve a little deeper in to specific areas that will help shape how they go about their managerial roles in the future.
