13.07.2016 - Brighten up your summer with a new career
If you’re looking for a new challenge and a change in direction this summer, then the annual skills and career event, the region’s principal employment, training and education scheme could provide you with what it is you need.
Free to attend, predominantly aimed at young people aged 14-24 across the East of England. The Careers Show aims to help young people consider their career options and inspire them about their futures and the opportunities available locally. Now in its fourth year, the Careers Show gets bigger and better each year with over 150 exhibition stands and 3,000 visitors expected.
Unlike traditional recruitment processes, the Career Show is a little more engaging with ‘experience zones’, ‘Have a go’ activities, CV bootcamps and seminars on offer.
The event takes place from Peterborough Showground, 15th July between 9.30am – 3.30pm. Among the extensive list of organisations attending this year, Mick George Ltd will be providing prospective employees the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the business and the positions available.
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’It’s an exciting time for the business with numerous opportunities all over the company continuing to arise as a result of business growth. We now have a dedicated in-house recruitment team that specialise in selecting the best talent available to push us to the next level.’’
Stump continued: ‘’Job Fairs have previously proven very effective in identifying talented individuals that have gone on to successful careers within the business. We see it very much as a two way process in which prospects can express what it is they have to offer, but we also get to showcase exactly what we are looking for.’’
