Mick George Feeling Fruity
Who would have known, 39 years on since a Skegness poultry breeder and enthusiast gave the ‘Small Livestock Show’ its first outing, that all these years later, it would have developed in to one of the great attractions within the Peterborough region.
Now recognised as The Autumn Food & Country Fair, the show has continued to develop into an extremely popular one-day event, enjoyed by the entire family. For a second consecutive year, local business Mick George Ltd will be getting involved.
Held at the Peterborough Arena each year, the occasion boasts a plethora of entertainment, that includes; giant vegetables, cooking demonstrations, classic cars, vintage tractors, animals galore (Reindeers, Donkeys, Rabbits and Poultry), plus an extensive shopping area for all of the family.
For the Kids, there is meet and greet with the Paw Patrol TV Characters, exhilarating rides on the traditional fun fair, as well as the opportunity to try your hand at the archery and mini Land Rover driving experience. Mick George Ltd will also have representation at the show, with their popular mascot ‘Mick the Skip’ present.
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’We have a great relationship with the East of England Showground, and recognise the efforts that are put in to host continuously successful events for the benefit of local communities.‘’
Stump continued: ‘’The show sees visitors from far-and-wide in attendance, which in itself represents the quality of what’s on offer.‘’
